Frank D'Angelo climbs into #1 position as an Indie AC Artist in the USA by New Music Weekly

TORONTO, Dec. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - This has been a great week for Frank D'Angelo as his two singles, "Break It Down" and "Dreamer", have catapulted to new heights and brining Frank to one of the most played Indie Artists on Mediabase charts in the USA with 1430 spins over 58 stations in 28 states.

His single "Break It Down" hit #1 position this week on the AC40 Chart at New Music Weekly and he has also been nominated in three categories for the Annual Independent Music Awards; Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Impact Artist and Favorite International Artist.

To top off the week, it's been confirmed that Frank D'Angelo's "Real Gangsters", a film that he wrote, produced and starred in, will be released worldwide this January 9^th, 2014.

Real Gangsters is his first movie production, and it's a star-filled mob film. The film continues to receive accolades; most recently it won four awards at the 'Action on Film International Film Festival' in Pasadena, California including Best Teleplay, Best Screenplay, Best Soundtrack and Best Picture. The film also won Best Canadian Movie at the Italian Contemporary Film Festival in Toronto and also won Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography at the Movieville International Film Festival in Sarasota, Florida.

Real Gangsters has been a great accomplishment for the first time movie maker who starred along with seasoned actors ROBERT LOGGIA (Academy Award & Emmy nominee; Scarface, Independence Day, Jagged Edge, Big); STEVEN BAUER (Golden Globe nominee; Scarface, Raising Cain); JOHN SAVAGE (The Deer Hunter, Hair); MARGOT KIDDER (Superman movies, The Amityville Horror); NICK MANCUSO (Under Siege, Ticket to Heaven); MICHAEL PARÉ (Eddie and the Cruisers, Streets of Fire); ROBERT MANGIARDI (Death of a President); JOHNNY WILLIAMS (Goodfellas), SEAN MC CANN (First Do No Harm, Affliction, Tommy Boy), ART HINDLE (Paradise Falls, ENG), and many other talented actors.
