Founding CEO of Prince William and Prince Harry's Royal Foundation takes over as CEO of Canada's leading military charity
TORONTO, Feb. 7, 2019 /CNW/ - True Patriot Love Foundation, the leading charity supporting military and Veteran families in Canada, has appointed Nick Booth as Chief Executive Officer.
Nick is the founding CEO of The Royal Foundation, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry's primary charitable vehicle, which he led from 2010 to 2017. He was responsible for overseeing the philanthropic activities of Their Royal Highnesses and initiated both the Invictus Games and the Heads Together mental health program. Mr. Booth's career spans 30 years in the charitable sector, working in senior roles in both the UK and USA, including the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Mr. Booth takes over from Bronwen Evans, who decided to step down following a successful tenure.
This year, True Patriot Love Foundation celebrates 10 years of providing essential support and resources to Canadian military members, Veterans and their families. Since its inception in 2009, the foundation has changed the lives of 25,000 military and Veteran families and provided $25 million to fund innovative research and support 750 community-based programs across the country. The foundation focuses on addressing the unique challenges resulting from military service including mental health, physical rehabilitation, transition to civilian life, and the special needs of children.
