TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2018 /CNW/ - Forstrong Global Asset Management Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Duncan as Senior Vice President, Institutional Strategy.
Mr. Duncan will be responsible for the development and implementation of Forstrong's institutional strategy as it relates to strategic relationships with pensions, foundations, endowments and other institutional clients and intermediaries. He will also assist with the development of a strategic plan to organize and expand Forstrong's sales team to ensure a consistently high standard of service.
"We will rely on Robert's extensive experience in the asset management industry to provide valuable insight into product development, distribution channel strategy and Forstrong's overall marketing and business development activities," said Tyler Mordy, the company's President & CIO.
Mr. Duncan joins Forstrong from Blackrock Canada where he was Vice President, iShares Institutional Business, leading its asset manager channel in Canada. His responsibilities included the development and support of client relationships to increase the adoption of exchange traded funds within actively managed portfolios and multi-asset solutions. Prior to joining Blackrock in 2013, he worked at RBC Dominion Securities, supporting its fee based advisory and managed solutions platforms. He served on the company's investment committee and developed investment models for institutional and private clients.
Mr. Duncan earned his Bachelor of Economics Degree from Concordia University's John Molson School of Business in 2008, and his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2015. Currently an active member of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada, he serves on its member service and national conference committees.
