Follow the Sun Country Highway all-electric New Brunswick tour, the second province in Canada to offer high powered level 2 EV Charging Network!
MONCTON, June 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Sun Country Highway continues to invest in the expansion of New Brunswick's EV charging infrastructure, focusing on social, economic and environmental sustainability. In collaboration with leading municipalities, small business and tourism destinations, follow the first ever, all-electric tour of the province.
With this milestone project, the province will have its highways electrified with a FREE, publicly accessible and high power Level 2 infrastructure. Reliable and offering a range of 40 to 90 amps, this new network have ability to charge any electric vehicle in the market today. Starting this historical tour at the St. Stephen Tourism Information Center on Monday, SCH Regional Director Stephane Daoust toured to host sites, stopping to charge two impressive electric vehicles along the way between St. Stephen and Moncton.
"We have a beautiful town here, and we're building a new Civic Center and a Best Western Hotel. Hopefully in the future, we will be able to attract a new clientele through the electric charger program - we are looking forward to having more of these installed" - John Quartermain, Mayor St. Stephen. Like the Delta Beausejour Hotel in Moncton, the St. Stephen's CS-90 model delivers 90 amps of power that can recharge the new Tesla Model S at a fraction of the time compared to the smaller 30 amp chargers typically installed.
Using Sun Country Highway's 60 amp chargers, the Amsterdam Inn and Suites hotels located in Sussex and Quispamsis are also partnering with SCH, offering a free public charger in their respective regions.
30 more FREE EV Stations, 40 in Total!
Sun Country Highway is proud to announce a further investment into New Brunswick - the provision of 30 more EV charging stations to the region.
We invite people from municipalities, businesses or tourism attractions in New Brunswick to submit an application to receive an EV charger at no cost.
