FirstEnergy Capital donates a minimum of $100,000 to the Southern Alberta Emergency Relief Fund
CALGARY, June 25, 2013 /CNW/ - FirstEnergy Capital is pledging to donate a minimum of $100,000 to the Southern Alberta Emergency Relief Fund and invites our clients and our community to cumulatively match this donation. Donations will go to support organizations helping to rebuild Southern Alberta following the devastating floods. Contributions will be sent to Place2Give.com and directed to a fund designated specifically to support local organizations focused on flooded areas and their relief requirements.
Since its inception in 1993, FirstEnergy Capital has been supporting our community and as we mark our 20th Anniversary this September, we recognize our success has been a result of supporting companies and our community from a grassroots level. Over the years, we have partnered with and supported many organizations and companies that have grown and prospered and the impact back to the community is significant. As a result of the floods, the needs in Southern Alberta are vast and FirstEnergy Capital is committed to supporting our clients and the charities that make our community prosper.
The Southern Alberta Emergency Relief Fund is comprised of registered charities identified to be working on the front lines of the flood. These charities support those with the highest needs and their ability to make a direct impact to those in need. All funds will be disbursed. Donations can also be made to an undesignated fund that will be directed to charities with the greatest identified requirements.
FirstEnergy invites our clients and community to contribute and support these vital charities in any way possible. We appreciate that support comes in many ways, and want to acknowledge and thank everyone helping to rebuild Southern Alberta.
All donations will receive a full charitable receipt. Matching donations can be made in two ways: forward a cheque payable to Place2Give to FirstEnergy Capital, Flood Relief, or by online donation at Place2Give.com. FirstEnergy online matching donations can be noted through the special message box.
