First Student Canada, Burlington, and Unifor Local 4268, agree on new collective agreement Minister Leitch congratulates both parties
OTTAWA, May 25, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated First Student Canada, Burlington, and Unifor Local 4268, on the renewal of their collective agreement.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.
Quick Facts
- First Student Canada provides school bus services.
- The collective agreement covering approximately 105 bus drivers working at the Owen Sound branch in Ontario expired on August 31, 2014.
