First quarter of fiscal 2026-2027 - Loto-Québec reports continued growth and remains committed to the community

MONTRÉAL, Sept. 17, 2026 /CNW/ -- Loto-Québec begins 2026–2027 with increased results, continuing the trend seen in recent years. For the 90-day period from April 1 to June 29, 2026, the corporation generated total revenues of $782.6M, a $16.1M (+2.1%) hike over the same period in the previous year. Its consolidated net income was $398.1M, up $13.7M (+3.6%), exceeding the target.

Loto-Québec crowned winners all over Québec, paying out nearly $460M in lottery prizes. One couple won a Lotto Max $40M jackpot, the largest win in the quarter.

REVENUES BY SECTOR

• The lottery sector generated revenues of $241.1M (+2.1%).
• The casino and gaming hall sector recorded revenues of $337.6M (+4.4%).
• The gaming establishment sector posted revenues of $208.4M (–1.8%).

QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS AND CSR CONTRIBUTIONS

• The arrival of warmer weather coincides with peak festival season. As a partner of more than 50 events across Québec, Loto-Québec plays a key role in supporting local entertainment and culture. The corporation also continues to encourage organizers to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
• The National Hockey League playoffs and the FIFA World Cup gave sports fans great opportunities to come together and experience powerful emotions. As these events appeal to bettors, Loto-Québec took the opportunity to point out that chance plays an important role in sports betting.
• L'Instant restaurant opened at the Hôtel-Casino du Lac-Leamy in early June. With a redesigned menu and updated branding, it offers an experience that's in line with the one at the Casino de Montréal. The opening marked the first step in repositioning the culinary offering at the resort.
• Loto-Québec has once again demonstrated its support for local artists by launching L'art en mouvement, in collaboration with BIXI Montréal. Sixteen BIXI bikes were transformed into works of art by four Québec creators, each with their unique style. The project also includes 16 gallery-stations throughout Montréal, where reproductions of works from the Collection Loto-Québec transform the public space into an open-air gallery.
• In the wake of its partnership with CF Montréal and the Montréal Roses, Loto-Québec is proud to continue its commitment to professional soccer by supporting a brand-new team, FC Supra du Québec, which competes in the Canadian Premier League.
