MONTREAL, May 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain recently announced that the first edition of the Rallye Montréal inc. will take place in downtown Montreal on Wednesday, May 23 at 1 p.m. The main goal of this sporting challenge is to raise funds for Montreal's young entrepreneurs, with proceeds for the event going to start-up bursaries and programs.

Partner organizations that have jumped on board the inaugural ride are numerous. The event received generous support from Pomerleau, with its CEO Pierre Pomerleau being the honorary president for this premier edition. BIXI has kindly agreed to supply bicycles to all 300 participants throughout the rally. Astral has become a media partner and Aimia, Cascades, Groupe Copley, Gaz Métro and Rio Tinto Alcan will be sponsoring the five pit stops of a race that promises to be as fun and original as it will be challenging.

While registration is limited to 60 teams of five participants each, those interested can still register as individual participants or as part of a team by logging onto the website.
All those who wish to become supporters of the event can easily give a donation, either directly to the Foundation or to one of the teams or an individual cyclist of your choosing. Be sure to catch all the preparations leading up to the big start and, on the day of the event, see all the action taking place and how your favourites are doing.
