FINAL GAME OF WEEK THREE FOOTBALL NETS TWO PRO PICKS POOLS PLAYERS $320,000
EACH
TORONTO, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Week three of American football season paid off for two Pro Picks Pools players. Georgetown resident Tony Mercer and Oshawa resident Pauline Lang both successfully wagered on Football Pool Card #12 (List #820) and won $320,581 each.
Both Mercer and Lang picked all 16 winning teams for the entire weekend, including an upset in the final game of the week on Monday evening.
"Pro Picks Pools is such a fun game to play, to follow all the games and the teams," said Lang, a 42-year old driver. "I cried when I found out I had won. I was expecting a much smaller prize amount!"
Mercer, a 42-year old production mechanic says that he didn't check who won that final game until mid-day Tuesday, but then headed right to the OLG Toronto Prize Centre to claim his prize.
"I was ecstatic. I couldn't believe it!" he explained.
Both Mercer and Lang say that they will be using their new found windfall for a vacation.
"I'll be planning a great March Break trip for my family," said Mercer.
The winning tickets were purchased at Petro Canada on Mountainview Road in Georgetown and Petro Canada on Harmony Road in Oshawa.
