Filters Incorporating the Noveko(TM) Antimicrobial Filtration Technology to
Equip a Pavilion at the Jewish General Hospital

MONTREAL, March 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Noveko International Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Epurair Inc. has signed an agreement with the Jewish General Hospital ("JGH"), one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the province, in order to equip one of its pavilions with filters incorporating the Noveko(TM) antimicrobial filtration technology. This 30-month agreement covers the supply of the filters and their cleaning. The parties have agreed to keep the financial terms and conditions of this agreement confidential.

"We are proud that the Jewish General Hospital, located in Montreal and recognized as a leading healthcare and research institution in Quebec thanks notably to the excellent medical treatments it provides, is the first hospital to use our antimicrobial filtration solution. We believe that this agreement will further stimulate the commercialization of our filters in various institutional settings," indicated Alain Bolduc, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Epurair(TM) filters incorporating the Noveko(TM) antimicrobial filtration technology consist of four layers of synthetic fibre that are fully leak-proof and offer an excellent resistance to temperature variations. Their superior filtration effectiveness also enables users to achieve energy savings. Thanks to their great durability and the fact that they are entirely washable and recyclable, the number of filters used and the costs associated with their replacement are reduced considerably, thereby making them a first-class environmental solution.

"We opted for Epurair(TM) filters because of their innovative and eco-friendly features, which allow us to substantially reduce our filtration inventories and waste and their handling. This filtration solution fits perfectly with our efforts to provide our patients, employees and visitors with a clean, healthy and safe environment and thus improve the efficiency of our medical activities, while enabling us to reduce handling costs," added Michael Boudana, Chief of Plant Operations, JGH.

A 637-bed teaching hospital affiliated with McGill University, the JGH is recognized for its excellent healthcare services and the calibre of its medical staff and research scientists. One of the leading short-term care hospitals in Quebec, the JGH offers general and specialized care to a diversified population and plays a critical role in the Quebec healthcare system. The hospital, which has just celebrated its 75th anniversary, is pursuing its numerous renovation and expansion initiatives in order to maintain the quality and continued improvement of its healthcare and to treat a growing number of people.
