CHICOUTIMI, QC, Aug. 23, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - In the aftermath of the merger announced last April, the Cegertec WorleyParsons joint venture has reached a shining milestone in its growth with its first major mandate, for Arianne Resources. In its drive to become a leading player in large project development in Québec, particularly in mines, metals, energy and infrastructure, Cegertec WorleyParsons will apply its teams' expertise and talent to a feasibility study for the Lac à Paul phosphorus mining project.
"Today, we have reached another turning point in our history. Arianne Resources's trust in us reflects our organization's know-how, world class expertise and enviable reputation. Above all, it proves Cegertec and WorleyParsons' wisdom in joining forces. We are now readier than ever to support our clients' durable growth and help them achieve their most ambitious goals", said Cegertec WorleyParsons President Stéphane Leduc.
The world's fourth largest firm has proven experience in the mines and energy sector. The Melbourne centre is recognized as a hub of excellence in phosphates. They have distinguished themselves exploiting phosphorus deposits and establishing a similar mine. They recently incepted one of the largest phosphate projects in the world in Saudi Arabia.
The work will make particularly intensive use of the organization's resources. It will take place mainly in Chicoutimi, in close collaboration with the Melbourne team whose expertise in phosphorus is a net plus. "Cegertec WorleyParsons is exactly the right partner to help Arianne Resources develop, in a sustainable fashion, the Lac à Paul mining project and become a world class phosphorus producer. We are proud to provide them with dynamic, harmonized teams to carry out this exciting mandate", concluded the President.
