Fashionista recording artist Cory Lee prepares her own "Fashion Show"

TORONTO, Feb. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian recording artist and actress Cory Lee (www.corylee.net) is back in the studio and collaborating with some of music's best for her long awaited third album.

It has been five years since Cory Lee's last album, and her loyal fans are counting the days until the release of her new single, "Fashion Show" on February 27th in Canada. And they won't be disappointed. Not only will the single be serviced coast-to-coast, along with the accompanying eye-candy video directed by MMVA Award winner Marc Andre Debruyne (Shawn Desmond, Mia Martina) the same day. This is the first offering from her new album set to drop in summer 2012.

A consummate professional, Lee has been hard at work in studio with Jenson Vaughan (Madonna, Timberland), Hipjoint (Kreesha Turner, Kelly Rowland), Kuya Productions (JRDN, Jesse McCartney), Chris Perry (Shawn Desmond, Keshia Chante) and Angela Hunte (Alicia Keys, Jay Z). The seasoned performer is thrilled to have an opportunity to work with some of music's top songwriters and producers.    Already a hit, "Fashion Show" is charting in Asia, and is part of a six-single EP distributed by Universal Asia in nine markets including: Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, and China. Soon to follow are Universal Russia, Universal Africa; with more territories currently being negotiated.

Although Cory Lee's fans had to wait for new music from the sassy, hardworking artist, they have still been able to enjoy her on-screen performances in television series and movies. Lee played the music vixen Karma on Instant Star, and is currently keeping students in line as Ms. Oh on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

As part of Ottawa Fashion Week, Cory will walk the runway for "Runway for a Better Way", a fundraising event in support of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Canada. The event, taking place February 19th at the Westin Hotel Ottawa, will feature celebrity models from Canada and a special premiere performance of her first single "Fashion Show".
