About Fade to Black
Presented by TD in collaboration with Astral, FADE TO BLACK is a program made up of three elements: cinema, music, and dance, all of which are placed within the context of Black History Month. Fade to Black celebrates Black culture through the idea that "Greater knowledge leads to greater understanding." Created by the Fabienne Colas Foundation, FADE TO BLACK serves to increase knowledge of Black culture and bring about greater inter-cultural dialogue between the people of Quebec. It helps us to remember the past in order to enjoy the present and better forge ahead into the future. All of this is achieved through film, music, and dance. Fade to Black was born as part of the Montreal International Black Film Festival and, throughout the year, it also holds conferences and examinations of particular topics. www.fonduaunoir.ca.
