Explorers' Edge brings back popular booking bonus to encourage spring visits.
BRACEBRIDGE, ON, March 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Explorers' Edge, the regional tourism organization for Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Loring-Restoule, has launched its Spring Fuel & Fun! promotion to encourage travelers to come to the region at a time of year when they might not normally consider visiting.
Described by one tourism operator as a "simple, down-to-earth booking bonus," with the Explorers' Edge Spring Fuel & Fun!package, travelers book a minimum 2-nights at participating accommodations before April 19th for a stay between April 20th and May 31st and they can register to receive a $50 gas card and $50 in cash vouchers to use at participating attractions, restaurants and shops. With only 500 packages available, the hardest part of marketing the program, says Executive Director James Murphy, is getting travelers to believe that there is no catch.
"It's a very straight forward program," said Murphy. "If you book before April 19th for a stay during the spring season, you can get some gas money and some spending money to make your visit even more enjoyable. Your gas card and vouchers will be waiting for you upon check-in."
The program is also great for folks who live within the region to get out and explore their own backyard, said Murphy.
"It's an opportunity for someone in Muskoka, for instance, to visit Loring-Restoule or vice versa," he said. Best of all, he added, spring is a great time to travel in the region. "Off-peak season rates are still available, there is more choice because it's not as busy, and there are no bugs."
With over 100 regional tourism operators participating in the Spring Fuel & Fun! promotion, travelers also have a great selection accommodations and attraction options. For more information on the Explorers' Edge Spring Fuel & Fun! package, visit Exploresedge.ca/fuelandfun.
