Excel Funds Management Inc. Announces Mutual Fund Risk Rating Change

TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2016 /CNW/ - Excel Funds Management Inc. (the "Manager") today announced that as a result of its annual review of the investment risk level of the Excel China Fund (the "Fund"), the Manager has determined that the investment risk level of Fund has changed from "Medium-to-High" to "High". The Manager determines the risk rating for the Fund in accordance with the methodology recommended by The Investment Funds Institute of Canada.

This change will be reflected in the simplified prospectus of the Fund, which will be filed with Canadian securities regulators in connection with the Funds' 2016 annual renewal.

The investment objectives and strategies of the Fund will not change as a result of this change.
