Ensign Honoured with Award for Drilling Excellence at the Southwest & Midcontinent Oil & Gas Awards

CALGARY, Oct. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Ensign Energy Services Inc. ("Ensign" or the "Company", TSX: ESI) was recognized at the inaugural Southwest & Midcontinent Oil & Gas Awards on Thursday, October 15, 2015 with the Award for Drilling Excellence.

This is the third award Ensign has received from the Oil & Gas Awards in the past year and a half, with Ensign's Drilling group out of California receiving the award for Excellence in Health and Safety at the 2014 West Coast Oil & Gas Awards and Ensign's Drilling group out of Canada receiving the award for Drilling Excellence at the Canada Oil & Gas Awards in June.

The Award for Drilling Excellence recognizes organizations providing advanced drilling solutions to the energy industry using the latest drilling technologies and techniques and for showing an uncompromising commitment to environmental impact mitigation. Ensign scored highest in the category after launching its new state-of-the-art Advanced Drill Rig (ADR®) 1500S just over a year ago, which is Ensign's most powerful next-generation of automated full-sized walking rigs.

The Southwest & Midcontinent Oil & Gas Awards gala ceremony was held at the The Westin Dallas Park Central in Dallas, Texas where hundreds of oil and gas executives gathered together to celebrate Health and Safety, Operational Excellence, Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Stewardship.
