CALGARY, June 7, 2018 /CNW/ - On May 2, 2018, in Calgary, Alberta, a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) dismissed a motion brought by IIROC Staff in the matter of Edward Peter Bodnarchuk.
IIROC Staff had modified the existing notice of hearing (the "Amended Notice of Hearing") to add a further allegation to the proceedings, as set out in the twice amended notice of hearing (the "Amended Amended Notice of Hearing") available at: http://docs.iiroc.ca/DisplayDocument.aspx?DocumentID=56870F95B759476091E06F7D91402F43&Language=en
The motion sought an order to extend timelines for:
- Filing and serving of the newly modified notice of hearing;
- Providing Mr. Bodnarchuk additional disclosure related to the additional allegation; and
- Providing Mr. Bodnarchuk with a list of documents it intends to rely on at the hearing in support of the additional allegation.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Bodnarchuk's conduct in October 2013. The alleged violations occurred while he was a Registered Representative with the Winnipeg branch of National Bank Financial Ltd., and the Winnipeg branch of PI Financial Corp., both of which are IIROC-regulated firms. Mr. Bodnarchuk is currently a Registered Representative at the Winnipeg branch of PI Financial Corp, an IIROC-regulated firm.
