Enersource President and CEO Receives Industry Leader of the Year Award

MISSISSAUGA,ON, Sept. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - The Ontario Energy Association (OEA) has recognized Peter Gregg, President and CEO of Enersource Corporation as the industry's 'Leader of the Year'. 

The OEA Leader of the Year award recognizes strong leadership qualities which contribute positively to the energy industry in Ontario. Nominees are judged on their vision, innovation, ethics, accountability and overall success.

Peter's nomination for the award was submitted by Enersource staff who recognized his numerous achievements since joining the company in 2014. His vision and ability to connect meaningfully with his peers within the industry, his staff members and the broader community made Peter an ideal candidate for this recognition.

Since Peter joined the Enersource team, he has helped the organization take existing strengths to new levels, and implemented major changes including:

• Appointed a Chief Customer Officer, whose role is to obtain greater insights into customer needs and expectations;
• Introduced new external communications tools to support customer awareness;
• Enhanced internal communications and commitment to corporate transparency;
• Increased employee engagement;
• Expanded corporate representation on industry boards and associations; and
• Continues to develop industry partnerships in order to advance the electricity sector's position with government.

Peter's commitment to improving customer relations will continue in the months ahead with the introduction of an enhanced plan for conservation outreach, as well as a customer-focused interactive approach to the company's Long-Term Distribution System Plan.
