OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 6, 2026 /CNW/ -- Today, the Honourable Julie Dabrusin, Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature, announced the recipients of the 2026 ENERGY STAR Awards, marking the 25th anniversary of the ENERGY STAR Canada program.
The awards recognize organizations that demonstrate outstanding leadership in promoting energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, and industrial facilities across Canada. By accelerating the adoption of technologies and practices with lasting environmental and economic benefits, these organizations are helping Canadians reduce emissions and adapt to a changing climate while building a more competitive, resilient economy.
With rising energy costs putting pressure on household budgets, efficiency is one of the most practical ways to support affordability, energy security, and climate action. For 25 years, ENERGY STAR Canada has made it easier for Canadians to choose efficient products and lower their energy costs. Powering Canada Strong, the Government of Canada's national electricity strategy, outlines how Canada will strengthen its energy security, including through efficiency upgrades in homes and businesses across the country.

Through their leadership, they are helping Canadians lower energy costs, reduce emissions, strengthen the reliability of our energy systems, and support Canada's transition to a resilient, low-carbon economy.
