HALIFAX, Jan. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - Empire Theatres, Canada's 2nd largest movie exhibition company announced today that it will purchase Magic Lantern's Parkland 7 Cinemas in Spruce Grove, Alberta on March 16, 2012.

Empire Theatres will equip Parkland 7 with digital technology in every auditorium to provide local moviegoers with a state-of-the-art movie presentation experience, and enhanced 3D presentation through RealD 3D technology in select auditoriums.
The Spruce Grove community will also stand to benefit from the Empire Theatres' convenient ticket purchase options which include purchasing online at www.empiretheatres.com, by mobile at empiretheatres.mobi, and in- theatre at the box office and refreshment counter.
