Election site launched for the voters of Toronto
TORONTO, June 4 /CNW/ - Toronto Community News (TCN) has launched a comprehensive and interactive website for the 2010 Toronto Municipal Election at www.insidetorontovotes.ca
"We're thrilled to be able to provide our city's voters with a one-stop news site for this year's municipal election," said Betty Carr, TCN publisher. "It's vital that people have easy access to information about their wards, their candidates and the issues if they hope to make an informed decision in choosing who should represent us at Toronto City Hall. Insidetorontovotes.ca is the place to go."
Designed with the voter top of mind, the website features the latest in election news and the mayor's race, including opinion pieces, photos, detailed ward profiles, maps and demographics, and a voter guide on the election process.
The website will also feature in-depth candidate profiles and further multimedia development including candidate videos.
Visitors to the site are invited to submit comments on stories, email letters with their opinion on the election and keep up to date on the latest news with RSS feeds.
The information and news content at www.insidetorontovotes.ca is written and verified by journalists working at TCN's Guardian, Mirror and Villager newspapers.
When it comes to providing local information, no one does it better in Canada's largest city than TCN. A division of Metroland Media Group Ltd., TCN publishes nine community newspapers in neighbourhoods across Toronto, reaching over a million homes every week.
