TORONTO, Oct. 13, 2015 /CNW/ - Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (TSX-V: EHT) ("EHT" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce the following changes to its board of directors and management team, effective as of October 15, 2015.
It is with great pleasure that the board of directors of the Company announces the appointment of Mr. Roman Eder as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company, while Mr. John Gamble, a founder of the Company, will continue in the roles of Chief Executive Officer and President of Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, which operates EHT's solar module manufacturing plant in Welland, Ontario. Mr. Gamble will further assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer for the Company and its subsidiaries, and Mr. Gamble will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors of the Company. In addition to the appointment of Mr. Eder to the Company's management team, Mr. Eder will become a member of the Company's board of directors. The foregoing changes to the Company's board of directors and management team remain subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
With the recently announced acquisition and change to management, the Company's board of directors undertook a review of the structure of the Company, its management, as well as the board of directors. The board views the appointment of Mr. Eder, currently Chief Executive Officer and President of EVIA Finance S.A.R.L., and an expert in the area of advanced material technologies and its market growth, represents a significant step in the restructuring of both management and operations of the Company, which reflects a shift in the Company's focus to take advantage of the strength of EHT in the advanced materials industry and exploit that in a broader customer base with additional product offerings as a result of combining products of construction and energy.
Mr. Gamble said "The appointment of Mr. Eder as CEO reinforces our view that the advanced materials business will be the driver of future growth for EHT. Mr. Eder founded IQ ENGINEERING in 2002 and laid the foundation for the company's new composite fibre technology business in 2007. Mr. Eder played a leading role in developing the IQ ENGINEERING product portfolio and establishing relations with key customers worldwide. From 1994 to 2000, he headed the application development and business development team for reactive plastics of EMS-Chemie, Switzerland. As a consultant to Cyclics Corporation, Mr. Eder was responsible for developing the Cyclics' European business from 2000 onwards. In this role he was instrumental in planning, securing the financing for and building the Cyclics plant in Germany and developing the global market CBT®-based materials. From 2005 to 2007, Roman served on the board of directors of Cyclics Corporation, USA. During that time he worked worldwide with various parties interested in low-viscosity thermoplastic resins and was in charge of all private equity and institutional investment activities. Roman has a German engineering degree in polymer chemistry from the University of Reutlingen and is known as one of the industry experts in reactive thermoplastic materials.
