E-Cigarette Workshop in Toronto Ahead of Board of Health's Ban Discussion
TORONTO, Aug. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - A public workshop about misconceptions and myths surrounding e-cigarettes is to be held ahead of Toronto's E-Cig ban discussion. The event will take place at 180 Smoke's Toronto store at 657 Yonge street, on Friday August 15th, at 7pm.
"We invite all stakeholders to attend and get the facts first hand and get familiarized with e-cigarettes and their users in person" said Dr. Gopal Bhatnagar, a cardiac surgeon and co-founder of the Canadian E-Cigarette brand, 180 Smoke adding "I urge a thoughtful evidence based dialogue between healthcare professionals, policy makers and experts in the fields of nicotine and tobacco addiction before any motion is put forward to city council. There are a lot of real users and plenty of good science to base e-cigarette policy on. Regardless of the decision in the end, it should be based on science and logic, not hearsay and fear mongering."
Scientific reference material will be made available as well as an opportunity to hear from e-cigarette users.
