Amazon, Twitter, Google, Snapchat and Uber among speakers scheduled for March 7 and 8 event
TORONTO, Feb. 6, 2018 /CNW/ - Dx3, Canada's largest digital marketing, retail, and advertising conference, today announced the first slate of speakers for their 2018 event, taking place at Toronto's Metro Toronto Convention Centre on March 7 and 8, 2018. This year's conference will feature companies and brands including Amazon, Twitter, Google, Snapchat, Uber and Element AI.
In total, more than 60 exhibitors and 50 speakers are expected at Dx3 2018. Sessions at the conference range from large-scale keynotes by industry thought-leaders to intimate hands-on deep dives and workshops. Announced today were:
- Keynote: Tamir Bar-Haim, Country Manager, Amazon
In this keynote address, Tamir Bar-Haim will discuss how Amazon's customer-centric focus has driven their tremendous growth - and the learnings and takeaways from their success.
- Keynote: Jeff Miller, Global Head of Creative Strategy, Snapchat
Through a creative showcase of real-world examples, Jeff Miller will open the second day of Dx3 with a dynamic presentation on the changing nature of "creative". The medium matters - Miller will argue - and delivering a compelling message to consumers where they are is a powerful tool for the modern marketer.
- Keynote: Theresa McLaughlin, Global CMO, TD Bank
To conclude the first day of Dx3, Theresa McLaughlin will explore how to maximize the impact of the marketing discipline within any organization, from attracting the right talent to growing and developing internal teams to seamlessly integrating marketing with other key business functions.
- Keynote: Demystifying AI
This fireside chat featuring Chris Laver, Distinguished Data Scientist, Machine Learning and AI, RBC Royal Bank, and Katy Yam of Element AI will explore the role - today and in the future - of AI in the worlds of marketing and retail.
- Panel Discussion: Women in Tech - Lessons I'd Teach My Younger Self
On International Women's Day, four female tech leaders - April Dunford from Sprintly, Kristy Bates from Uber, Mandy Gilbert from Creative Niche and Meagan Tanner from Google - will engage in a dialogue on their experiences, successes and challenges in the industry.
- Bootcamp: Build Better Twitter Campaigns
Leanne Gibson, Twitter's Interim Managing Director, will share a 'playbook' of techniques on how to build better campaigns and stronger promotion on Twitter.
- Creative Workshop: Putting Twitch and Alexa to Work for Brands
Josh Hudson, Creative Director at Amazon, will lead an innovative, hands-on seminar targeted at marketing and advertising agencies. He'll explore the topics of Amazon Alexa, Twitch, and AR.
