Dr. Bernstein defends constitutional right to free expression in advertising
TORONTO, Oct, 29, 2015 /CNW/ - Dr. Bernstein and the Dr. Bernstein Diet and Health Clinics have been criticized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, as a result of a complaint by a competitor, and told that they cannot call themselves the Dr. Bernstein Diet and Health Clinics or advertise with Dr. Bernstein's face and name, thereby putting at risk a multi-million dollar enterprise. This is a breach of Dr. Bernstein's constitutional right to freedom of expression, and he is challenging same in the Divisional Court today. This matter will be heard in Courtroom #3 at Osgoode Hall at 10:00 am today.
