DOMAINE PINNACLE WINS THREE MEDALS AT FIRST-EVER INTERNATIONAL CIDER
CHALLENGE
Domaine Pinnacle the only producer to win two Gold medals - in addition to a 'Best in Category' medal
FRELIGHSBURG, QC, Nov. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Domaine Pinnacle, the world's leading producer of ice cider, today announced that it won three medals at the International Cider Challenge.
Hosted by Drinks International, the only magazine devoted exclusively to the global spirits, wines and beer market, the first-ever International Cider Challenge was held in West Sussex, England in September. More than 100 ciders from countries including the UK, US, South Africa, Canada and the Czech Republic were entered. Medals were awarded on the basis of blind taste tests conducted by English cider experts.
Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider earned: a Gold medal, a Gold medal for "Design and Packaging" and a "Best in Category" medal in the "Organic, Fruit Cider and Specialities Super Premium" category.
"We are very proud to have earned three medals, including two Golds, at this prestigious event - the first-ever international competition dedicated exclusively to cider," said Charles Crawford, Founder and President, Domaine Pinnacle. "Drinks International is a well-respected industry publication and this contest attracted very strong competitors. It is very gratifying to see an ice cider from Québec compete - and win - at the highest international level, particularly considering ice cider, as a product category, is only about a decade old," Mr. Crawford concluded.
