DOMAINE PINNACLE CELEBRATES TENTH ANNIVERSARY
FRELIGHSBURG, QC, Aug. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Domaine Pinnacle, the world's leading producer of ice cider, today announced its tenth anniversary.
Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider was first bottled in 2000. At that time, distribution and availability were quite limited. But, by 2002, Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider was widely available at Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) locations across the province.
"Looking back, it has been quite an experience," remarks Charles Crawford, Founder and President, Domaine Pinnacle. "It all started in the 1990s when my wife and I purchased a century-old apple orchard. Then, we began the process of transforming it from simple apple picking to producing ice cider, which was unheard of at that time. Our first vintage was only available at a few locations. But, the feedback we got from people who tasted it was amazing and that gave us the encouragement needed to move forward."
By 2004, Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider was also available in British Columbia and Alberta. In addition to expanding distribution westward, Domaine Pinnacle also began targeting export markets, including an alliance with French Cognac-maker Camus. Today, Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider is available in 47 countries worldwide.
"In addition to expanding internationally, we have also diversified. We now offer: Ice Cider, Sparkling Ice Cider, Signature Réserve Spéciale, Crème de Pommes and Réserve 1859. And, we recently introduced our first non-apple-based product, Coureur de Bois, a cream liqueur made from premium grade Québec maple syrup. Over the last decade our volume of production has increased about 20-fold. In terms of the future, we look forward to developing new products and further expanding into new markets. Most importantly, our tenth anniversary is an opportune moment to thank everyone who has supported Domaine Pinnacle over the years," concludes Mr. Crawford.
