Doctors Without Borders' Philip Sacks to speak about Ebola outbreak at Boston Go Global Expo this weekend
BOSTON, Sept. 23, 2014 /CNW/ - After returning from the frontline of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, Doctors Without Borders' Philips Sacks will be the keynote speaker at this weekend's Go Global Expo in Boston. Sacks will speak about his work in Guinea and Sierra Leone, where he provided medical care alongside MSF during the earliest stages of this serious ongoing epidemic.
Sacks is the keynote presenter at the first-ever Boston Go Global Expo (www.letsgoglobal.com) on Sunday, September 28. Now in its fifth year of connecting travelers in Vancouver, Montréal and Toronto with meaningful opportunities, the Go Global Expo's launch will be at the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel.
The expo is an exciting opportunity for travelers to learn more about working, studying and volunteering abroad. Students, young professionals and adventure-seekers of all ages can find the information and inspiration they need to turn their travel dreams into a reality.
In addition to watching Sacks' keynote address at 11 a.m., visitors can speak with experts representing programs in countries around the world and gather in-depth information on a wide range of travel-related topics at the Expo Seminar Series. Exhibitors will include universities and colleges from around the world, exchange programs, international volunteer organizations, student and youth work abroad programs and more.
With free admission, the expo will also feature an inspiring exhibit of some of the year's best travel photography, selected from submissions to Verge magazine's annual photo contest.
