Divorce impacts 43% of families in Alberta. The Divorce Symposium delivers expert advice for every stage of separation and divorce.
CALGARY, May 7, 2018 /CNW/ - Changes are coming to the family justice system in Alberta and on May 26th, the Second Annual Resilience - Divorce Symposium will feature Justice Rod Jerke, presenting a talk on how a collaboration between the legal community, social and health organizations, educators and other professionals are working to change the system to better serve the needs of families.
On May 26th, Resilience - a Symposium on Separation and Divorce will be held at the Clarion Hotel, providing the only full day of resources for those experiencing any stage of separation or divorce. Often-times, friends accompany those to offer support at the symposium and learn key information benefiting their own lives.
This full day will feature professionals in various areas, offering guidance and support with:
- Personal and family counselling – dispute resolution, developing a parenting plan, grief counselling, personal health & wellness, life coaching, divorce workshop opportunities, etc.
- Legal matters - like choosing a lawyer and making best use of their time, wills and estates, spousal and child support, insurance education, mediation
- Financial matters – spousal and child support, property division
