International company relies on Allstream for business communications solutions

TORONTO, July 8 /CNW/ - Delmar, an international freight forwarding and custom brokerage business, has renewed its contract with Allstream, Canada's all-business communications provider, for an additional three years. Allstream has provided Business IP, Internet and ethernet services to Delmar for the past 11 years.

"Delmar's business depends on a reliable network. For the past eleven years, the Allstream team has been there to keep the services that support its business running so Delmar can continue to grow," said Dean Prevost, President, Allstream. "This extension is another example of the momentum Allstream is seeing in its IP portfolio, where demand is strong for our advanced products."

In addition to custom brokerage and international freight forwarding, Delmar, a Quebec-based company, specializes in international transport, trade aid consulting, cargo insurance, and information services. Delmar offers their customers cargo tracking access all online.

"Technology has transformed the way we do business. We can manage cargo data more effectively than ever before. We can handle shipments to foreign countries, track the cargo all the way to its destination and feed advanced information to our client - and we rely on Allstream's national IP fibre network to do all of these tasks," said Robert Cutler, President, Delmar. "We recognize the value of Allstream's personalized and dedicated relationship. We trust that Allstream is experienced at innovation and always looking ahead - ready to bring us the very best in business communications solutions."

In 2010 Allstream began a strategic expansion of its 30,000 kilometre state-of-the-art national IP fibre network, with a goal of increasing its IP footprint and bringing its services to more business and select multi-tenant buildings in its major markets across Canada.
