Delegates vote to support negotiations on special needs

MONTREAL, May 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Delegates from province-wide associations of QFHSA voted unanimously to urge MELS and School Boards to:

    
    - Ensure funding in the separate envelope (mesure speciale) is retained
      and additional support be allocated.

    - Increase support services for students in all schools and programs and
      one-on-one services for students with learning
      disabilities/difficulties.

    - Respect the clauses related to class size and the movement of files
      from preschool to adult education.

    - Respect the parental rights in their request for inter-board agreements
      and related transportation costs.
