David Bacon Joins Canada Cartage as Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief
Financial Officer

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 16 /CNW/ - Canada Cartage System is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bacon as the company's Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer. 

Mr. Bacon comes to Canada Cartage with over 20 years of business experience with public and private companies in the functional areas of strategy, corporate finance, governance and financial management.  Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of SkyPower Corp. where he was a member of the core team that built the business from start-up to one of Canada's largest renewable energy developers.  Prior to that, Mr. Bacon held various senior finance and corporate development roles for a variety of private and public companies which included serving as Vice President, Corporate Development with Toronto-based GT Group Telecom where he was responsible for M&A and strategy development.  Mr. Bacon began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he provided audit and advisory services for public and private companies across a wide range of industries.  He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
