Daily Bread's annual report on hunger to be released September 21

TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2015 /CNW/ -

Daily Bread will release its newest report on hunger in Toronto on September 21.

Despite being ranked by The Economist as one of the most livable cities in the world, the day-to-day reality for tens of thousands of people in Toronto remains a struggle – to find affordable housing, good jobs and put food on the table.

Richard Matern, author of the Who's Hungry report, will be on hand to share more results from the report about the factors that drive people to food bank.

An embargoed copy of the report is available to news media. To request a copy of this report, please email sarah@dailybread.ca.

The report is the result of surveys with over 1000 food bank clients at Daily Bread Food Bank and North York Harvest Food Bank member agencies across Toronto.
