CovrTM AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System blankets your entire home with fast and reliable Wi-Fi while offering a PowrZone for the most demanding Wi-Fi devices
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 17, 2017 /CNW/ - D-Link, Canada's Leader in Home Networking, today announced the Canadian launch of the Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System (COVR-3902), the first in D-Link's new line of Covr Wi-Fi Systems. The Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System is a simple, intelligent solution that uses a high-performance router and seamless extender to create a single network with ultra-fast speeds and reliable connectivity, that can provide up to 6,000 sq. ft. of Wi-Fi coverage.
The strength of Covr lies in the AC2600 Seamless Wi-Fi Router (COVR-2600R). Some other mesh network solutions rely on multiple Wi-Fi connection points, which lack the performance of a traditional router. D-Link's Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System uses a premium AC2600 High-Power Wi-Fi Router at its core, creating a Wi-Fi "PowrZone" of blazing fast Wi-Fi, optimized to handle the bulk of your Wi-Fi activity, while the Covr Seamless Wi-Fi Extender takes care of the outer edge. This design ensures you get whole home coverage, while still having the power, speed and advanced features to handle bandwidth intensive activities like 4K streaming and gaming on multiple devices.
"Covr offers Canadians a 'best of both worlds' solution to their coverage and performance issues," said Lou Reda, President of D-Link Canada. "Covr offers all the coverage of a Wi-Fi System, without the typical compromise in speed you see from some of those low performance, multi-satellite solutions. People don't want to move to what they think is a step-up solution, only to find that, yes, their coverage is better; however, the overall Wi-Fi performance drops. Covr is a breakthrough system that addresses both needs."
The Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System is packed with high-end features. As more devices are added to Covr's network, its intuitive features take away the complexity of managing a home wireless network. Smart Steering technology works to balance the load between the 2.4 and 5GHz wireless bands, prioritizing activities and steering devices between bands as more devices connect, making sure each device has optimal performance. Covr, unlike a traditional router-extender solution, uses Smart Roaming technology to create a seamless network with a single network name (SSID) which allows users to move throughout the home while devices automatically connect to the strongest signal, eliminating the need to manually disconnect and reconnect.
The Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System is simple to set up using the free D-Link Wi-Fi app or the intuitive web-based setup wizard. Additional Seamless Extenders (COVR-1300E) can be added to expand coverage in the largest of homes making the system highly scalable.
