TORONTO, Jan. 7 /CNW/ - The CIA and Secret Service have nothing on Christopher Chance, the brave and selfless ultimate protector in CTV's newest drama HUMAN TARGET. Based on the popular DC Comic and graphic novel created in 1972, HUMAN TARGET makes its Canadian premiere on CTV on a special day, Friday, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET., before moving to its regular timeslot, Mondays at 8 p.m., beginning January 18 (visit www.ctv.ca) CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). The Vancouver-filmed series is an explosive, theatrical-scale adventure guaranteed to thrill week after week.

HUMAN TARGET stars Mark Valley (FRINGE) as Christopher Chance, a unique private contractor/security expert/bodyguard that puts his own life on the line for his clients. He is joined on his adventures by colleagues Winston (Chi McBride, PUSHING DAISIES) and Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley, Watchmen). Vancouver native Emmanuelle Vaugier (CSI:NY) guest stars.

"Strap on your seatbelts because HUMAN TARGET is one heck of a ride," said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc. "This new series will satisfy any adrenaline addict, with its stellar casting and thrilling storylines."

Call him whatever you like, because for Chance, it's about one thing only: saving his clients' lives. When there is an unusual or imminent threat that can't be solved through "normal" means of protection, Chance is the man hired to completely integrate himself into his clients' lives - as he becomes the human target. If you're a corporate manager whose disgruntled employee has gone violently off the deep end, Chance is your new auditor. If you're the president of a bank who's been tipped off to a potential heist, Chance is your unassuming bank teller.
