Just For Laughs and Strut & Fret Production House join forces
MONTRÉAL, July 18, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The world's leading comedy brand, Just For Laughs, and the Strut & Fret Production House, announce today a partnership that will power the creation of a circuit of international festivals. Considered as the largest comedy festival in the world, the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, attracts about 2 million festivalgoers each year. As for Strut & Fret, they are behind the Garden of Unearthly Delights, the biggest festival in Australia, which endeared its audience of 800,000 people during the 2017 edition.

The two organizations have been collaborating on other projects for several years, namely, Brussel's Kermezzoo Festival, and the showcasing of Limbo at the Casino de Montréal. Their association is the outcome of a shared vision. On the one hand, the support of a major player will allow Just For Laughs to expand its activities in the Australian market while adding variety and quality content to its festivals. On the other hand, upcoming Strut & Fret shows will now have guaranteed venues thanks to the integration with Just For Laughs festivals.

Together, the two companies annually produce 20 large-scale festivals and events in over 43 countries, and broadcast television content in over 130 countries.
