Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life release 2012 Public Accountability Statement
WINNIPEG, May 16, 2013 /CNW/ - Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life, together with their staff and distribution associates, are helping create value for Canadians in many different ways - the theme of the companies' 2012 Public Accountability Statement.
Among the highlights of 2012, the report shows how the companies continued to:
- contribute to national solutions for meeting the fundamental needs of Canadians, including affordable retirement, and healthcare that helps enhance quality of life.
- engage with Canada's charitable sector, contributing $11.9 million through their national corporate citizenship program to help address national, regional and local community priorities.
- foster a workplace culture in which more than 10,000 staff across Canada can learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the organization and the communities where the companies operate.
- manage the environmental impact of their operations, including information on greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water consumption, and landfill waste generation.
