Corporate Research Group announces voluntary re-payment
OTTAWA, July 15 /CNW/ - Corporate Research Group (CRG) announced today that is has returned the sum of $303,737.00 to Public Works Canada (PWGSC) following a review of consulting contracts dating back to 2006.
Earlier this year, Public Works hired an external auditor to examine contracts awarded to CRG over the past four years. The review found that in the contracts awarded to CRG, there were insufficient records kept in five cases. Those five contracts totaled $303,737.00. CRG is voluntarily repaying the amount of the five contracts.
"We acknowledge that in these limited cases proper procedure was not followed. However, the work commissioned under these contracts was delivered on time and on budget to the satisfaction of the client," said Brian Card, founder and President of CRG.
"For nearly three decades, we have provided exceptional value to our clients. If mistakes are made, we make a point of going above and beyond to remedy the situation. This case is no exception."
CRG is an Ottawa-based consulting firm that supplies a wide range of advisory services to major corporations and governments across Canada. Founded in 1982, CRG is now backed by a network of more than 700 consultants.
