Spire continues an ambitious expansion into new asset classes and markets
VANCOUVER, March 20, 2019 /CNW/ - Spire Development Corporation has come a long way since its inception in 2007. The real estate firm began with the sole purpose to construct industrial warehouses, and 12 years later its business has evolved into the acquisition, financing, development, management, and construction of unique and boutique projects.

This mantra translates into architecturally charming, one-of-a-kind projects that optimally perform and stand the test of time. Most recently, Spire has pioneered the design and construction of their second Passive House apartment building on a 33,700 square foot site directly north of their first Passive House project in Vancouver. Additionally, a bespoke five-storey condominium building designed by award-winning Francl Architects is in development in South Granville. This project features four luxury homes, including a two-storey penthouse. On the commercial side, Spire is developing three high-end self-storage and car wash facilities for Storguard Self Storage and Shine Auto Wash. With the first two facilities in Burnaby and Coquitlam now complete, a third is in the planning stage in Richmond. Beyond Metro Vancouver, the company is also delving into projects in Kamloops, Calgary, and Kelowna.
Spire's expansion has led to the hiring of key team members to further drive the company forward – namely, Stephen Wiens as Chief Operating Officer. With an industry track record surpassing 20 years, Wiens will oversee all aspects of Spire's finances, staffing, accounting, IT, and communications.
