Conservative think-tank gives "unimaginative" budget C-minus
OTTAWA, March 29, 2012 /CNW/ - The Canadian Centre for Policy Studies, a independent conservative think tank, is giving today's federal budget a C-minus.
There are some aspects of this budget that we agree with, such as reducing taxpayer funding of CBC and beginning the difficult process of pension reform," said Joseph C. Ben-Ami, President of the Centre. "We're disappointed, and frankly puzzled, that the government's ongoing program review has resulted in an increase in program spending though."
"Over all, we think this was an surprisingly unimaginative budget from a conservative perspective and would give it a C-minus."
