Vancouver's biggest celebration site with the most elaborate pavilions featuring free cultural, charitable, sports entertainment and family fun during the 21st Winter Olympics

VANCOUVER, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - Located on the northeast shore of False Creek - in the centre of the Olympic action - Concord Place Community Celebration Zone is the largest single entertainment zone in Vancouver during the games. Concord Place includes a multitude of diverse free cultural exhibits, award-winning musical acts and family-friendly festivities, and the opportunity to meet past and current Olympic athletes.

Situated adjacent to Canada Hockey Place, BC Place and Sochi House, Concord Place is the true centre of "Canadiana" and will be the hub of our country's diverse artistic and cultural landscape. In addition to being home to Ontario House, Maison du Quebec, Saskatchewan House and Molson Canadian Hockey House, the wide-range of festivities hosted by Concord Pacific will appeal to everyone from sports enthusiasts to music lovers and from foodies to families.

Highlights of Concord Place:

Community Hat-trick Shootout

    -   Everyone's a winner when kids and the kids-at-heart put their hockey
        skills to the test
    -   Concord Pacific will donate $2 to local community centres for every
        goal scored
    -   Appearances every afternoon from Hockey Canada alumni including Stan
        Smyl, Luc Robitaille, Cam Neely and Paul Coffey

    Concord autograph sessions with Right to Play Ambassadors

    -   Concord Pacific donated space to this international humanitarian
        organization that brings sport to disadvantaged areas around the
    -   Right to Play Athlete Ambassadors - past and current Olympians - will
        be in the Concord Pacific presentation centre each day signing
        autographs on free t-shirts

Throughout the celebrations, Concord Pacific will be showcasing a glimpse into its 2020 vision for the area at the Concord Pacific Presentation Centre. Once the Olympic and Paralympic Games are complete, the area will become the crowning neighbourhood of Concord's master-planned community, which has transformed Vancouver's skyline and False Creek waterfront over the past two decades.
