Bidding is closed and a sale is pending in cooperation with Sotheby's International Realty Canada
CALGARY, Alberta, May 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Luxury real estate auction firm Concierge Auctions is pleased to announce the pending sale of a trophy equestrian estate in Spruce Meadows exclusively listed with Mark Evernden of Sotheby's International Realty Canada. The property went under contract following yesterday's live auction and continues the New York-based auction firm's international expansion success. The buyer is represented by Debbie Komitsch of Keller Williams Premiere Realty.
"I was proud to work alongside Concierge on this first auction of its kind in Calgary," stated Evernden. "The main challenge when we started marketing the auction was that Canadian agents and brokers weren't familiar with the process and didn't understand why a seller would choose to auction. We were able to educate them on the fact that participation is quite simple and that sellers, buyers and agents all benefit from the ease of the transaction and set timeline. As we continue to present Concierge Auctions as a selling tool for our clients, the market will come to know even more the skill of their team and efficiency of their solution."
Blue Valley Farms is a 45-acre equestrian training compound located at 242243 64 Street West, 25 minutes from downtown Calgary and a few minutes from internationally-renowned Spruce Meadows. Property features include a 6,428-square-foot indoor riding arena, a 30,000-square-foot outdoor arena, 25 horse stalls, five large fields with shelters and 12 outdoor paddocks. Additionally, an 8-car garage and workshop offer generous storage and a four-bedroom bungalow is available for an on-site manager.
Concierge Auctions' global marketing campaign generated over 5,200 website visits from 77 countries (led by the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and Germany), and 51 visitors attended the open house events. Ten bidders were qualified to compete in the auction.
A residence in Church Ranches Estates, which was also presented at auction, remains available for purchase. The seller remarked on his experience: "The Concierge Auctions team was professional in every aspect," stated Sam Sidhom. "This was the first introduction of luxury home auctions to our market, and some people just couldn't get their heads around it. While we have yet to identify our buyer, I am grateful for the tremendous efforts of Concierge and Sotheby's International Realty Canada, and the market now knows that we are motivated and open to offers."
Concierge Auctions has upcoming luxury property auctions scheduled in Grand Bahama, Exuma, Flagstaff, Arizona and Napa Valley, California, and many more are already planned for the spring and summer.
