"We're proud to mark the 50th anniversary of Complexe Desjardins by unveiling Systèmes d'écho. This artwork adds to the history of a building that has been part of Montrealers' everyday lives for generations. It reflects our commitment to contributing to a vibrant and inspiring downtown where art, culture, business and people come together and give Montreal its vitality."

Designed specifically for Complexe Desjardins, Pocreau's submission was selected following a request for proposals and a jury selection process. It takes the form of a hanging installation that pays tribute to this iconic downtown Montreal building. The hanging installation showcases the light and architecture of Complexe Desjardins. Designed to fit harmoniously into the vast central area, the artwork will play off the flow of visitors. Through its presence and scale, the installation transforms the perception of space by offering a visual experience that changes depending on where the viewer is standing. This inauguration officially marks the installation's entry into the public landscape.
