Communications l'Actuel — Média A presents educational videos on sexual health, STIs, hepatitis and HIV/AIDS Français
MONTREAL, Sept. 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of its new web and social media strategy, Clinique médicale l'Actuel will present educational videos on its website, YouTube channel and social networks. These videos will feature doctors of Clinique A rue McGill, l'Actuel sur rue and the Clinique médicale l'Actuel.
"Unfortunately, we can already see the effect of the absence of sex education in our schools and the lack of preventative campaigns for the general population; risk-taking increases, and thus the number of infections increases. We are even witnessing the reappearance of illnesses that had virtually disappeared, such as syphilis, and the emergence of new illnesses like Lymphogranuloma venereum," deplores Dr. Réjean Thomas, President-founder. "Also, we can never restate enough the importance of undergoing regular screening tests."
These 40 (20 in English and 20 in French) subtitled videos are summaries of the most commonly consulted content on the Clinique médicale l'Actuel website. Very useful and easily shared, they provide basic info on sexual health and offer sound preventative advice.
"This initiative is a first in Québec and in Canada. We are really proud of it. Sexual health is intimately linked to overall health and mental health. We strongly believe that education, information and prevention are key elements in improving health and quality of life for all." — Dr. Réjean Thomas
