TORONTO, July 11, 2014 /CNW/ - One of the world's most popular comedians, Russell Peters, has been confirmed to host the 13th annual "It's Always Something", Canada's Number 1 Live Variety Show, coming to Toronto's Sony Centre for The Performing Arts on Thursday, November 20, 2014.
Pre-sale tickets for this always sold out show are now available by calling Gilda's Club at 416-214-9898 extension 205.
All proceeds from "It's Always Something" go to support Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, named after famed 'Saturday Night Live' comedian Gilda Radner. Gilda's Club is the 'missing link' in the cancer care system, providing free social and emotional support programs for anyone touched by cancer - kids, teens and adults along with their family and friends. In its 12-year history, "It's Always Something" has netted more than $4.5 million dollars back to Gilda's Club Greater Toronto.
A long-time supporter of Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, 2014 will mark the seventh time the Gemini Award-winning Russell has hosted "It's Always Something". Straight off NBC's hit show Last Comic Standing, Russell is Canada's number one stand-up export, becoming the first stand-up to sell out the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, breaking a UK comedy sales record at London's O2 Arena and also setting sales records for a stand-up comedian in Australia and Singapore. He is currently featuring all new material as he embarks on his 2014/15 World Tour "Almost Famous".
"We're thrilled to welcome back Russell as our host," said Co-Executive Producers Fred Levy and Rick Muller. "His participation over the years has always been a highlight of "It's Always Something" and we're so grateful for his support of Gilda's Club."
As is its tradition over the summer, some of entertainment's biggest names from music, comedy and dance will be confirmed for another all-star line-up of artists who donate their talents to the show, making "It's Always Something" one of the must-attend entertainment events of the year.
