LONGUEUIL, QC, June 27, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to inform motorists that the Clément Bridge will be completely closed to traffic starting Friday, June 29 at 11 PM until Tuesday, July 3 at 5 AM.
This work, which depends on weather conditions, will allow for the complete paving of the Clément Bridge, located at the entrance of the Bonaventure Expressway at the exit of the Champlain Bridge. A notice will be published on our blog (www.champlainbridge.ca) this Friday as of 3:30 PM, according to the weather forecast, to inform road users whether the scheduled work will be taking place or not.
During this roadwork, road users are invited to take exit 60 of Highway 15, which allows for direct access to the Bonaventure Expressway from the Champlain Bridge. If heading towards the Champlain Bridge, road users can take exit 4 on the Bonaventure Expressway, which enables access to the bridge.
Access to Nuns' Island will be closed via the Bonaventure Expressway
For Nuns' Island residents, it is important to note that direct access to the island by exit 5 on the Bonaventure Expressway will be closed during this period. Therefore, access to Nuns' Island will be carried out via Exit 4 of the Bonaventure Expressway, then through exit 57 or 57-N on Highway 15 towards the South Shore. Exit 57 on Highway 15 North via the Champlain Bridge will also be open.
Please note there will be no major work on the Champlain Bridge during this period and that all lanes will be open.
