Clearford Announces Appointment of President and Chief Operating Officer
OTTAWA, May 28, 2012 /CNW/ - Clearford Industries Inc. ("Clearford" or the "Company"),(TSX-V:CLI) Bruce Linton, Chief Executive Officer, today announced the appointment of Kevin Loiselle to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Loiselle will be responsible for all operations of Clearford, including research and development, sales and project delivery.
In announcing the appointment Mr. Linton said, "Kevin joined Clearford as Vice President Sales in October 2011 and has provided excellent leadership in converting project opportunities to deliverable contracts. In his expanded role, Kevin will apply this experience and ability to close and deliver customer projects and direct continued enhancement of the Clearford product.
"Historic sanitary sewer systems have relied on pumping waste water and bio-solids to central treatment facilities', Mr. Linton continued. "There is immediate and very significant demand for sanitary sewage collection and treatment for nearly 40% of the world's population that today has no access to such services. Most of this demand is in areas where clean fresh water is scarce. The Clearford system digests bio-solids in digesters located near the sewage source, conveying only liquids for central treatment. The result is competitive capital cost, lower operating cost, reduced water consumption and improved quality of water post treatment. The President will lead the Clearford team in project sales and delivery to begin to meet this need while I will work with international agencies and regional infrastructure suppliers to forge relationships to broaden Clearford's market impact," he said.
"I am very confident in the market opportunity for the Clearford wastewater collection and treatment solution", Mr. Loiselle said. "During the next 12 months I expect to see the company achieve positive earnings from operations based on closing and delivering projects both in Canada and internationally. In the longer term I believe that the Clearford system will become a significant factor in bringing clean water and sanitary sewage collection and treatment to many areas of the world," he said.
