CALGARY, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - This announcement relates to the holdings of Chinook Financial Ltd. ("Chinook") in RIA Resources Corp. (TSXV: RIA) ("RIA").

On October 20, 2010, Chinook acquired (the "Transaction") control or direction over 700,000 common shares ("Common Shares") of RIA as a result of the exercise of 700,000 common share purchase warrants ("Warrants") to acquire Common Shares of RIA at an exercise price of $0.10 per Common Share. Prior to the Transaction, Chinook owned and controlled an aggregate of 933,770 Common Shares, 700,000 Warrants and 120,000 options to acquire Common Shares ("Options") representing approximately 8.71% of the outstanding Common Shares of RIA or 11.51% assuming the exercise of all Warrants. Immediately after the Transaction, Chinook, directly and indirectly, has ownership or control of an aggregate of 1,633,770 Common Shares and 120,000 Options, representing approximately 11.25% of the issued and outstanding Common Shares, or 11.51% assuming exercise of all Options.

The Common Shares were acquired privately pursuant to the terms of a Warrant Agreement dated January 6, 2009 between Chinook and RIA. Chinook acquired the Common Shares for investment purposes and may, depending on market and other conditions, increase his beneficial ownership, control or direction over the Common Shares or other securities of RIA, through market transactions, private agreements, treasury issuances, exercise of convertible securities or otherwise.

Chinook will be filing a report under National Instrument 62-103 - The Early Warning System of the Canadian Securities Administrators in connection with the Transaction.
