Champlain CCAC Welcomes New CEO
OTTAWA, Sept. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - At its Annual General Meeting held on September 15, the Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) welcomed Gilles Lanteigne as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
"Mr. Lanteigne's 25 years of leadership experience within the health care sector positions him well to provide the leadership of the Champlain CCAC," says Lynn Graham, Chair, Champlain CCAC Board of Directors. "He has a strong vision for quality and continuous improvement and health care integration."

Gilles Lanteigne is a recognized health care leader with more than 25 years of experience in strategic senior level positions. His most recent senior management position was as Executive Vice-President of Accreditation Canada for the past nine years. Prior to this Mr. Lanteigne has held CEO positions in two hospitals in Québec. Gilles Lanteigne possesses a Ph.D. in Public Health Management, a MBA and a Master of Social Work. He is both a Certified Health Executive and Certified General Accountant. Mr. Lanteigne is a former member of the Champlain LHIN Board of Directors.

"The CCAC has benefited greatly from Mr. Love's leadership and expertise. His work has helped us to build a stronger, more sustainable future for the CCAC in our region." Mr. Love is the Vice-President, Planning, Support Services and Clinical Programs of The Ottawa Hospital.

The Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) is the second largest health service provider in the Champlain LHIN with a budget of approximately $180 million and over 660 staff. It serves about 25,000 residents on any given day and close to 52,000 clients annually across our region.
The Champlain CCAC connects you to the care you need at home and in your community. By providing a single point of access to health and support services, the Champlain CCAC helps people live independently in their homes and will assist with the transition into a long-term care home if required. The CCAC plans, coordinates and ensures the delivery of a full-range of in-home and community-based services to support clients and their caregivers. In addition, the CCAC provides clients with information and referral to alternate sources of care in the community.
