TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Centre for Interpersonal Relationships (CFIR), a mental health organization that provides comprehensive, leading-edge psychological health services to individuals, couples, groups, children, adolescents, and adults, has recently moved locations in Toronto to accommodate new and existing clients better.
"We've seen an increase in requests for services such as our Reduced Cost and our Child and Adolescent Psychology Service. Affordability and access to mental health services is important to us. These factors and more are what helped to drive our decision to expand to a larger office space in a convenient medical building. Now we're in a better position to help Torontonians access more affordable services with our Reduced Cost program and increase access to our regular services for children and adolescents in downtown Toronto." Says Dr. Lila Z. Hakim, C.Psych., Clinic Director at CFIR Toronto.
"Mental health is more than a buzzword trending on social media. Stories related to it are quickly becoming rampant in our society, and it's becoming a higher priority for both the public and private sectors," said Dino Zuccarini, CFIR Co-Founder.
Provincial campaigns such as The Kids Can't Wait by CMHO focus on the need for reduced wait times for children and youth mental health services. In response to this need, CFIR's Toronto office has several new Associates starting in September who specialize in treatments and assessments for children and youth. Low-cost options are also available to individuals who can't afford to access or continue therapy at regular cost. Under the Reduced Cost Services offering, CFIR clinical psychologists supervise advanced doctoral counsellors in the provision of psychological services for significantly less cost than regular fees.
